Using the Menu to Find Content

Click on Menu.

Click on the Find Learning link.

You can now either search for the content by typing its name into the Search box on the left-hand side (see image 1) or you can browse for content by clicking on the Library and/or Filters section to narrow the results (see image 2).

Once you have located the content, click on its link.

Using a Portlet to Find Learning

Your Unicorn LMS may have been set up with a Find Learning portlet on the home page.  If that is the case, you can just click on its link (it may look different to the screenshot below).

You can now locate the content using the instructions above.

Self-Registering for One Activity

Once a user has located the content (see above), they can simply click on the Register Me button next to the item.

The user can set a Due Date if they want to, otherwise they just need to click on Confirm in the pop-up window.  If you have allowed users to self-register, the Register Me button will become the Launch button instead and they can use this to launch the course straightaway.

The content will also be available to click on within My Activities.  If content requires approval however, it will not be available to the user until their line manager has approved them.

Self-Registering onto Multiple Activities

If a user would like to register onto more than one activity, they can add them to a basket and register them at the same time.  Once the content has been located (see above), click onto the Add to Basket button next to the activity.

Once they have added the activities they want, click on the Basket button at the top of the screen.

Click on the Register Me button at the bottom of the new screen.

The user can set a Due Date if they want to, otherwise they just need to click on Confirm in the pop-up window.  The content will now be available however if it requires approval, it will not be available to the user until their line manager has approved them.
